ROTARY COMMUNITY CORPS OF FORT LAUDERDALE | ECONOMIC EMPOWERWENT

  

  • Objective: Assist elementary school students experiencing homelessness by ensuring they have the necessary      support for academic success and general well-being.
  • Strategy & Execution:
    • Targeted Assistance: Focus on approximately 200 Fort Lauderdale elementary students who are facing homelessness annually.
    • Resource Rooms: In collaboration with the City of Fort Lauderdale and local partners, collect food, comfort items, and       school supplies to replenish resource rooms at North Fork, Thurgood       Marshall, Westwood Heights, and Walker Elementary Schools.
    • Personalized Care Packages: Use school liaisons to assemble       customized family care packages that provide not only learning tools but       also essential items for a dignified, safe, and healthy daily life.
